Membership is going good this year. The frst ever OPA-C refresher
course was held in Dallas in July. We had allied health professionals from 3 states to include Texas. It consisted
on a practice exam, Orthopaedic Knee, Hip and Back exams. Also time was given for Q & A.
The next refresher
is scheduled for November. We are also currently planning the TCOPA state meeting for early October. Please see

Benton Memorial Scholarship:
The Michael Bradley Benton
Memorial Educational Scholarship Committee will award a $2,000 scholarship to a qualified student who is enrolled in a program
leading to a bachelor’s degree at an accredited college/university in the US and will be a freshman or sophomore in
Fall 2008. The scholarship is available to all ASOPA members, spouses, children and grandchildren. Deadline to apply is May
